David Kensler, LCSW
Experienced Trauma Therapist in the Bucks County Area (serving all of NJ & PA via Telehealth)

What therapy is like with me
My approach is structured, collaborative, and focused on helping you move forward—not just talk about symptoms.
In our early sessions, we’ll focus on understanding the patterns contributing to what you’re experiencing, including thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences that may still be impacting you today. From there, we work together using evidence-based strategies to build skills and insight that help you:
-
Reduce anxiety and emotional overwhelm
-
Improve mood stability and coping skills
-
Work through trauma-related symptoms
-
Strengthen emotional regulation
-
Improve relationships and daily functioning
I draw from:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
-
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
-
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
I integrate these evidence-based approaches and adapt them to your goals and needs. My approach is grounded in support, flexibility, and compassion. I meet each client where they are, adapting our work to your unique needs, goals, and pace. Above all, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood, respected, and supported as we navigate challenges together and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Healing doesn't happen all at once, but it often begins with a single conversation. I invite you to reach out and learn how therapy can help you move beyond survival and toward a greater sense of peace, resilience, and connection.
Please feel free to call or email me, and we can discuss how I may be able to support you.
